North Sea Survey Report: MV Queenford
The locations of lost fishing gear in the North Sea are reported to us in various ways. We usually receive these locations in person from divers and fishermen, but we also receive them through the ghost gear report form on our website. In addition, we set out with our survey & recovery vessel MV MAKO to monitor the condition of known objects.
Yesterday we surveyed the shipwreck of the MV Queenford, resting at a depth of 25m to 35m. Visibility was very good, we found several types of fishing nets, most of them were old. However, we did find a lot of new recreational fishing gear. Soon, when the conditions are good again we head back with a removal plan. Stay tuned.
