Inspired by Ghost Fishing, divers of Project Baseline: Haarlemmermeer came up with an idea to create more awareness in The Netherlands about the issues caused by lost recreational fishing gear. The first reactive step (cleanup) is to encourage recreational anglers to report their losses through the website: www.pbhbos.blogspot.nl and give them a chance to get back their lures and weights.

Second pro-active step (avoiding loss) is gathering knowledge and expertise of anglers and their Federations to minimize the loss of their gear.
