Lombardy Lakes

Coordinator: Redento Raimondi (RED1)

My passion for water, for the sea, for lakes, has grown with me since I was a child. I am a good swimmer, and I have always been passionate about exploring the seabed. My real approach to Scuba diving took place in 2004 during a mini cruise to the Island of Elba. I am interested in every single component of diving, from the small nudibranch to the largest fish. I am enthusiastic about wrecks, the characteristic seabeds and walls, as well as all the underwater flora.

Since 2016 with the North Central Divers Group we have been collaborating with Ghost Diving, formerly Ghost Fishing and I have personally maintained relations with the local authorities (“Coast Guard Auxiliary” – “Provincial Police of Bergamo and Brescia”

Diving frequently since 1993, Timo originally discovered his fascination for the underwater world at Iseo Lake in Lombardy. Originally from Germany, but now based in the region, he has been part of the North Central Divers team for five years. As being a photographer, he is of course specially interested in image creating also underwater. The group, which sees itself explicitly as team divers, has been diving the lakes of Lombardy for many years. Ghost nets are also a problem here. The group has already recovered many of them over the past 10 years. Since 2016 the NCDivers have been happy to co-operate with Ghost Diving, (former Ghost Fishing).
